MacMod Pro Preferences |
This is where you can select the folder for your plug-ins. You can choose what MacMod Pro does at startup. If you run MacMod Pro by opening a song, it will do nothing but open that song upon startup.
You can also select how many levels of undo to use. The more levels you choose, the more memory it requires. You can set MacMod Pro to automatically save the current song every so often. There are also controls for turning the help bar (the text line under the buttons on the toolbar) and playback following on or off. When MacMod Pro is set to follow playback, any open editors (staff editor, pattern editors) will follow the playback by selecting the positions being played.
You can choose to turn off various alerts in MacMod Pro as well as different features including dynamic scrolling and button clicks.
Here you can choose to repeat a song after playing it or go on to play the next song in the Music Desktop's list. You can also specify if you want to play songs in stereo and surround sound. If you computer does not support stereo, these two items will be dimmed. Other features such as reverb and stereo delay also alter the way songs play. The playback rate affects the quality of the song playing. It also affects the speed of your computer. On slower machines, 44kHz playback may cause your computer to seem sluggish.
This is where you can choose the default key signature to give songs that do not already have a key signature defined. You can also change the range of the staff editor by choosing the bottom octave. The staff editor can display 4 octaves on a staff.
In this tab you can specify for which two octaves you want to designate keys. You can also change the keys for each note in these two octaves.
You can also specify whether the lights on the Keyboard window follow a voice or the instrument selected in the Instruments window.
